Information
ESD block pallets made of electrically conductive plastic material from NORAH Plastics have been specially developed for the secure storage and transport of sensitive electro-components. It prevents electrostatic charging and diverts already existing charges. Special passage resistance / surface resistance: 106 < 1010 Ohm/cm. ESD is an abbreviation of "electrostatic discharge," which means "protection against electrostatic discharge." What lies behind electrostatic discharge can be explained by an everyday example: You put a sweater over your head and your hair stands up. The reason lies in frictional electricity, which often leads to an unexpected charge and then ends in an unpleasant discharge in the form of a small electric shock. We face this problem not only in everyday life - electrostatic charging is also a major problem in the storage and transportation of industrial goods. An ignited spark can create a short but high electrical voltage pulse on electronic equipment, which in turn can cause damage to that equipment. To avoid this scenario, it is recommended that ESD-sensitive components and assemblies be stored and transported in ESD-protected environments during all processes.
