NORAH Plastics ®

Innovation in Plastic Transport and Storage Systems Since 1953

Since its founding on March 1, 1953, NORAH Plastics ® has been based in Arnhem and specializes in the development, production, and supply of durable plastic systems for transport and storage. With decades of experience, we guarantee high-quality, well-designed solutions that meet the strictest standards for quality, safety, and sustainability.

Our story begins with Arnoldus Noordermeer, who founded NORAH Construction Machines during the post-war reconstruction period. At the time, the company focused on assembling construction cranes, concrete mixers, and hoists. In 1962, a major shift occurred with the introduction of the first polyethylene mortar tub—an innovation that marked the beginning of our focus on plastic products.

To avoid confusion with our previous activities and to better align with our new direction, the company name was changed to NORAH Plastics. In 1968, we launched our first plastic transport tub and transport pallet. These products inspired the design of our current logo.

The Power of Plastic Starts with Granulate

Plastic products are made from small, uniform granulate pellets. These are heated in a machine until they form a homogeneous plastic mass, which is then shaped under pressure in a mold. After cooling, a strong, precise, and durable product emerges. Using high-quality granulate allows material properties—such as strength, flexibility, and heat resistance—to be tailored, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
